Did you know that the Maria L. Baldwin School is named for a former Principal who, among her many accomplishments, was an early teacher of the poet e. e. cummings? It is truly an honor to follow in her footsteps and imagine the bright future that lies ahead for the students we serve today.
As a proud mom of three young children myself, I know the value of working hard, playing hard, and having fun. Work and play are equally important to the learning process - and my goal as Principal is to cultivate healthy, happy, open, thoughtful, smart kids.
Working closely with our teachers and with Baldwin families, I believe that every student in our school can be successful. The partnership between schools and families is fundamental to making that happen. While we are incredibly grateful for our hard-working parent volunteers, we know that families are involved with their children’s learning even when we can’t see you.
Research shows that the most important way to support your child’s learning is to ask them to tell you about what they are learning. You may find they have some interesting news to share, or learn about something new they discovered. If you learn that they are struggling in any way, please know that their teachers and I are here to work with you and make sure your student stays on track.
Thank you for the part you play in making Baldwin such a caring and remarkable community!
