CitySprouts Garden

citysprouts garden

The Baldwin School has 2 very large continuous garden beds, a digging bed, and 4 planters. Students plant and harvest a variety of vegetables in the garden. A large pollinator and herb bed is along the sidewalk for the public to enjoy. The garden has a shed and composter.

CitySprouts is a school garden program founded on the principle that all children should experience hands-on learning with real-world applications, support and practice in making good food choices, and a life-long connection to the natural world. CitySprouts’ garden educator is at the Maria Baldwin school twice each week during the fall and spring to support teachers' lessons and projects in the school garden. CitySprouts has volunteer opportunities in the garden throughout the year, if you would like to get involved please email [email protected].
