High FIveHigh 5's started in early December. Every week, classroom teachers submit the name of a student in the classroom that exemplifies one of the Baldwin core values - Community, Care, Effort, Joy, Growth. Mr. Roderick and Ms. Heidi acknowledge the students during lunch period with each student receiving a certificate recognizing their efforts. In addition, each child receives two Baldwin bracelet, one to keep, and one to pass along to a friend.

Examples of the many high 5's:

  • Bella, grade 1, room 210 for working so hard all the time - Effort and growth.
  • Eliot, grade 2, room 204 nominated by his peers for coming to school each day with a kind and loving heart.
  • Lincoln, grade 4, room 307, nominated by room 307, noticings from teammates in 307. He is calm and focused. Engaged in read alouds. Has really big, creative ideas. Has a positive attitude. Includes everyone at recess. Listens. Raises his hand for help and questions.
