Ms. Della Calce's and Ms. Romero's kindergarten classrooms took a long bus ride to Rutland Massachusetts to Heifer Farm.
The students milked goats, collected eggs, and watched wool being spun. They also visited the global village at the farm where the students got to see the types of homes from countries that Heifer helps.
These students led the school in the read-to-feed read-a-thon promoting social responsibility and sustainable living. They learned about how Heifer International helps improve living conditions for impoverished communities and how the gift of animals can help them live a sustainable life.
