Poetry Night

April is poetry month and Baldwin School has some incredible poets. Thank you to all the students who participated in the Poetry Slam organized by Mrs. Thompson. Thank you to the emcee's, fourth graders Emane and Marina, who were eloquent and poised, announcing each student. Thanks to our teachers who inspired more poetry readers than we've ever had before. Thank you to our incredible custodial crew for helping with set up as well as Ms. Heidi and Ms. Lynch for guiding the students. It was a wonderful crowd of families gathered under the tents. Thanks to all who came to support our students.

Congratulations to the winners of the Cambridge Public Library's 23rd Annual Poetry Awards
The library received nearly 800 entries, making for a tough competition. Congratulations to everyone who entered their poems. Winners from the Baldwin:

  • Ariella, Third Grade, First Place for "Rescue Our Rainforests"
  • Abigail Colburn, Fourth Grade, Honorable Mention, for "To-do List"
