In honor of Climate Month, Mayor Siddiqui's office and the Department of Public Works came to Baldwin School to plant a tree with our first grade students. The Mayor read the Arbor Day proclamation. City Arborist David Defcourt and Assistant City Arborist Abby Bentley came to talk to our first grade students about trees before planting a beautiful cherry blossom tree in the back of the school. Each student participated by throwing a shovel full of soil into the hole. The students were excited to learn about the importance of trees in the community.
Students also met the Mayor's Chief of Staff, Michael Scarlett, a Baldwin School alum!
