Thank you to Natalia Cepeda, Mindfulness Teacher. Natalia offered a parent workshop on Mindfulness Habits.
Thank you to our Literacy Coach Summer Thompson for organizing the second and third grade Harvard Reading program. Families enjoyed a day at a Harvard football game, with Baldwin students being recognized on the field.
Thank you to all the families who attended Pizza and Movie Night, a fundraiser for summer camp scholarships. With you generous support, over $900 was raised toward sending Baldwin students to summer camp.
Thank you to the parents who helped bake. Thank you to Allison, Ashley, Audrey, Cathy, Jill, and Rachel.
Thank you to kindergarten parent David for providing technical support (sorry for the sound glitch!).
Thank you to our always helpful custodian Leon for supporting the evening.
Thank you to Ms. Lilli, for talking up the movie all week with the kids, for her eager support of the summer camp crew, and for providing the fun.
Thank you to our amazing 5th grade young ladies Ayaat, Iris, and Oyane, and former Baldwin student, 6th grader Fatima for their help serving food.

Thank you to the summer camp crew - former kindergarten teacher Suzette Abbott and her husband David, former parent Trish, 5th grade teacher Ms. Curreri, kindergarten paraprofessional Ms. Lynne, and Ms. Lilli - for 10 years for movie nights to raise money for scholarships. What a team!
Thank you to the Baldwin families and staff members who attended the Building Equity Bridges workshops. At the workshop, the Barriers to Equity identified by students' and families/caregivers' experiences in Cambridge Public Schools were presented. These barriers stand in the way of a racially just education for our students. We look forward to continued work in the spring during the Courageous Conversations meetings.
Thank you to first grade student Amazir for spearheading the UNICEF drive this year. He made the following announcement at school:
We, the kids of Baldwin school could become heroes during Halloween by saving children’s lives! UNICEF, the largest organization that protects all children around the world, has provided our school with UNICEF boxes. If you celebrate Halloween and go out trick-or-treating, you can take a UNICEF collection box with you and "Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF".
Our mission is to collect as much money as possible, bring it back to school and send it to UNICEF to help the kids in need. Many children around the world cannot go to school, play, eat, and stay safe and healthy.
With only one dollar, a child could have clean water for 40 days. If we collect $340, (that's one dollar per student) a whole village could have clean water for more than a year! Help be a Halloween hero!
His words inspired many to collect for UNICEF at Halloween. Thank you to our students who collected and to Amazir and his mother Selma for organizing.
