From the Principal: December 20, 2017

Dearest Baldwin Families,

I hope you find plenty of opportunities over the Winter Break to have fun and strengthen your bonds with family and friends. Enjoy!

As I begin to plan activities for my own kids for the coming week, I’m reminded that some of the best memories we make come from just spending some quality time together doing simple things that don’t require a lot of planning or resources.
Bundling up and going for an evening walk as a family, attending cultural events, cooking together, making gifts and cards, listening to stories from elderly friends or family, playing games in pajamas, singing and laughing together, even working together to clean or decorate your house or apartment--these are the kinds of simple but important things that will help rejuvenate students before their return.

I hope you find simple ways to manage (or at least get through) the logistics, tasks, travel and even difficult struggles this holiday season to truly enjoy moments of peace and joy together with your children. Please let us know if we can be helpful to your family in any way as we end this week and head into break. I know that even as many celebrate, this can be one of the most challenging times of year for others, especially children.

In closing of this letter and the year, I wish each of you joy!
And, in the words of Maya Angelou: “When you wish someone joy, you wish them peace, love, prosperity, happiness... all the good things.”

With Love,

Heidi
