Three weeks into the reading challenge, the students are on their way to making their goal. They read 3,844 hours. Congratulations to Ms. Power's 2nd grade class, leading the school in reading hours. he hope is that they will beat their total of 6,325 hours from last years challenge. The city arborist will be at school next week presenting to the students.
Students are asked to record their reading time. Families are also encouraged to take part in the reading challenge by encouraging their child to read and ensure they record their reading hours. The reading challenge will conclude with an all-school Arbor Day celebration on Friday, April 15. Trees will be planted in front of the school.
