Congratulations to the winners of the Cambridge Public Library & Cambridge Tree Project 20th Annual Poetry Awards from the Baldwin School! This year nearly 1,400 entries were received. Congratulations to everyone who entered their poems.

The Baldwin student winners are:
Ella Sykes-Finkelstein, First Place (tie), Kindergarten for “Unicorns”
Georgia Lee, Honorable Mention, First Grade for “Cat Pat”
Isaac Goodman, First Place (tie), Second Grade for “Leaving”
Caleb Frehywot, Third Place (tie), Third Grade for his untitled poem
Aroon Kang, Second Place (tie), Fourth Grade, for “Period”
Taya Thoms, Third Place (tie), Fifth Grade for “We Need Peace”

The winners were honored at an award ceremony on May 30 at the public library.

mathletesBaldwin Mathletes

This year, the Baldwin School entered 3 teams to the Math Olympiad Middlesex Math madness Tournament on May 12. The 4th and 5th grade students included: Aidan Bosmajian, Anisa Brown, Marco Li, Jason Lim, Marco Neer, Ethan Roberson, Masha Ulfat, Uri Darom, Isaac Freywot, Gemma Larin, Chanho Lee, Gemma Shoor, Taya Thoms, Alex Warren, Felix Yang.

Marco Li tied for 3rd place overall in the competition and Baldwin School had the most teams entered from any school district that competed!

Mrs. Lynch and Ms. Curry have been working with this students all year, preparing them for the competition. Thank you to Mrs. Lynch, Ms. Curry and Mrs. Rogers for their support for the Baldwin mathletes

This was an amazing experience for everyone. The students worked independently and as a team of 5. Congratulations!
