All kindergarten and first grade students spent time with author and illustrator Lizzy Rockwell. Lizzy started doing illustrations for her mom's books, author Anne Rockwell. he first book she illustrated with her mother was
Apples and Pumpkins. Mother and daughter did 14 books together. Now, Lizzy is doing her own books. Her favorite books are storybooks, non-fiction, and reference books. Some of Lizzy's books include
A Bird is a Bird,
Plants Feed Me, and the
Busy Body Book. Lizzy emphasized that words and pictures tell the story.
