Arbor Day Celebration

LoraxThe final tally for our annual reading challenge was 6,561 hours! The goal was to beat last years total and they did so in grand fashion. In addition, the students contributed $1,000 to the Arbor Foundation through a voluntary fundraising drive.

For this challenge, the students were asked to record their reading time. Our Librarian Karin Kugel dressed up as the Lorax and City Arborist David Lefcourt and Vice Mayor McGovern came to present to students and plant trees in front of the school for the all-school Arbor Day celebration. What an awesome day!

Thank you to parent Kjersti for finding the Lorax costume and for making the reading challenge celebration extra special. Also, thanks to the Friends of Baldwin, each classroom will receive an indoor tree.
